Egypt’s diving destinations of Hurghada and Safaga

Sha’ab El Erg is responsible for the coral gardens in the Poseidon Garden.
Sha’ab Abu Nuhas is well-known for its wrecks.

HURGHADA
Hurghada is one of Egypt’s most interesting diving destinations, with a life-size aquarium that is a must-see for serious underwater photographers.
Having navigated your way through the swaying branches of giant red gorgonians at Police Station and admiring the spectacular alcyonaria coral at Erg Somaya, you’ll find yourself in the magical underwater garden that surrounds the coral reef islands of Shawan, Giftun, and Gubal, which is a must-see.

Because of its gigantic gorgonians, the police station is famous.
Erg Somaya is a small group of Giftun Islands (depth 100m) known for its alcyonarians.

Because of the great visibility and relatively modest currents that characterize the local waters, Safaga provides a plethora of diving locations that are accessible to everyone.
In the exquisite coral gardens, particularly near Ras Abu Soma and Sha’ab Tobia, a plethora of diverse and colorful fauna may be found.
Any diving tour in this tranquil fishing port, from Tobia Arbaa to the legendary Panorama Reef, passing through the Middle Reef coral gardens, and taking in the Salem Express wreck, is certain to leave you with wonderful memories.

Napoleon fish, parrotfish, barracudas, grouper fish, clownfish, rockfish, stingrays, red mullet, colorful fish, sharks, and turtles are among the many species of fish found in the ocean.

Ras Abu Soma and Sha’ab Tobia are well-known for their abundant pelagic biodiversity. Drops to depths of more than 100 meters are possible at Panorama Reef.
