Near Aswan, there is a temple called Kalabsha.
When the Temple of Kalabsha was moved to avoid being inundated, it was discovered that it had Nubian roots.

Location:
Near Aswan and close to the High Dam adjacent to Lake Nasser, it is readily accessible by road and Lake Nasser Cruise Boats, among other modes of transportation.
History:
The massive Temple of Kalabsha, located at the western end of Lake Nasser near the western end of the High Dam, is either marooned on an island or stretched out on a peninsula, depending on the water level.
There is a cemetery of boats and fishy remnants between the location and the dam, which adds to the desolation of the environment.
The main Temple was originally from Talmis (after known as Kalabsha), 50 kilometers south of Aswan; in a German-financed operation, it was dismantled into 13,000 stones and reconstructed here in 1970, together with other monuments from Nubia, as part of the Great Sphinx Project.
Kalabsha refers to the original location, rather than the temple itself, which is named for the deity Mandulis and has no historical link to the two smaller monuments in the immediate neighborhood, which were brought here from other sites in Nubia.
