Ras Mohamed National Park is located in the northwestern part of the country.

Ras Mohammed is a 480km2 area located on the point of the Sinai Peninsula, about 20 kilometers from Sharm el-Sheikh.

In Ras Mohammed National Park, there are more than 220 kinds of coral, as well as 1000 species of fish, 40 species of starfish, 25 species of sea urchins, more than 100 species of mollusks, and 150 species of crustaceans, among other things.

In addition to these natural wonders, many wrecks are scattered around the sea bed here from the days when strong naval presences patrolled the area, which was considered to be strategically important due to its proximity to the Suez Canal, and are now considered to be a dumping ground for munitions.
