In Esna, there is a temple dedicated to Khnum.
The temple of Khnum at Esna is located around 155 kilometers (96 miles) north of Aswan on the Nile River.
The temple, which was erected on the site of an ancient edifice by Ptolemy VI (180—145 BC), was possibly once as enormous as the temple at Edfu.
Nowadays, visitors flock to witness the temple’s magnificent Roman Hypostyle Hall, which dates back to the first century AD and is the only component of the structure that has been excavated.

You can get a feeling of what the hall was intended to convey while you’re here. With 24 columns, each of which is crowned by a different exquisitely carved floral capital, it has the appearance of a nicely enclosed garden.
The walls are adorned with sculptures representing successive Roman emperors giving offerings to Egyptian deities, which can be seen throughout the building.
