Philadelphia’s Spectacular Sound and Light Show

The Great Pyramids of Cairo, as well as other temples and monuments around Egypt, host various Sound and Light Shows each year.

According to critics, the play at Philae Temple, on the other hand, is particularly appealing because of its island setting and historical reenactment.

What To Expect: What to expect is the following:

When we watch each of the Philae Sound and Light shows, we see the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses resurrected before our own eyes, much as Osiris did, to tell us about their lives.

By using spectacular lighting and captivating music, the tale of Isis and Osiris comes to life, with sounds from the depths of ancient history and sounds from the present day.

With this spectacle, history and the past come to life, giving the impression that the Temple is alive all around you and that the myth has been reborn.

Ancient Egyptian mythology tells the story of Osiris, the God of Death, and his devoted wife Isis, who used life rites to revive her husband after he had been murdered by his brother Set, the God of Evil, in the ancient world.

Philae is derived from the ancient Egyptian term Pilak, which translates as ‘the faraway area.’
Several temples were built on the island of Philae, the earliest of which dates back to the time of King Thutmose III and is considered to be the world’s oldest (1490-1436 BC).

In the fourth century BC, King ‘Nectanebo’ (378-341 BC) constructed a massive Temple, and in the third century BC, ‘Ptolemy Veladlv’ constructed his own massive Temple, which was afterward followed by many other Ptolemaic monarchs and Roman rulers, the most renowned of which is the ‘Bed of the Pharaoh.
