Riding the Feluccas down the Nile River
Felucca Ride in Cairo
Embark on a classic Felucca cruise down the Nile to see Cairo from a different perspective, and enjoy a relaxed day on the water, floating down the same river that Cleopatra sailed down so many centuries ago.
Watch the sunset over Egypt’s capital and see the breathtaking view of Cairo at night, or take advantage of the dawn and warm sun during the daytime hours.
We can even organize a birthday celebration for you while you are cruising down the Nile.
Felucca Ride in Luxor
Going on a felucca ride in Luxor is a must-do experience, particularly if you are not arriving in Luxor via a Nile Cruise.
Feluccas are classic sailboats that you’ll see in large numbers on the Nile, whether in Luxor, Cairo, or Aswan, and they’re a great way to see the sights.

Sailing the Nile has been a tradition since the time of the pharaohs, who reigned over this stretch of paradise that is now known as Egypt.
It is an amazing and extremely calming experience to be sailing along the tranquil waters of the mighty Nile River while taking in views of the enormous Luxor Temple on the East Bank and the pink hills of the West Bank.
It is an experience that you will not soon forget. Felucca touts may generally be seen down at the “corniche,” in front of the Winter Palace hotel, where they solicit business from tourists.
To avoid disappointment, it is better to arrange the length, schedule, and price of your felucca journey with your “captain” before boarding.
The Banana Island tour is one of the most popular felucca excursions in Luxor, and it is also one of the most expensive.
After sailing north of Luxor to an island dotted with banana plantations, the boatman will berth the felucca off the island and accompany you on a short exploratory tour of the island, during which you will be served a refreshing cup of traditional Egyptian tea and some of the sweetest, most delicious bananas you’ve ever tasted.
Felucca Ride on the Nile in Aswan
Take a quiet sailboat trip on the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, and take in the refreshing river wind.
Begin by floating the Nile by felucca for about one hour around Elephantine Island and see the Botanical Gardens, which are rich in species that have been introduced from all over the globe and are a must-see.
As a resting spot for his campaign in the year 1899, Lord Kitchener designated this island as “the Lord’s mansion,” which he named after himself.
Following his death, this island came under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture.
You may also visit the Agha Khan Mausoleum, which is located on the crest of a hill and commands a spectacular view over the Aswan region.
The Tombs of the Nobles, which are scattered over a lonely hillside on the West Bank, have a fascinating history that you should be aware of.
