Why Visit Hurghada?

Hurghada is one of the main tourist attractions on the Red Sea coast.
Hurghada has become such a popular tourist destination over the past several decades that it is hard to imagine it as a quiet fishing village. At the moment, several large, luxurious resorts along the coast attract European families who want to get away from the cold weather.

Even though it would be a stretch to call Hurghada beautiful, it does an excellent job of being a place to relax on vacation near the Red Sea and a starting point for inexpensive day trips. On the other hand, Hurghada’s beaches aren’t as fascinating outside the resorts or on the nearby Giftun Islands, where most of the action takes place.

Geography:

It is on the western shores of the Red Sea, about 500 km southeast of Cairo. It is about 22 miles (36 km) long and doesn’t go very far into the desert. To the west are the governorates of Sohag and Assiut, to the east is the Red Sea, and to the north are the governorates of Ras Gareb and Safaga.

1- Giftun Island

Taking a boat ride to the Giftun Islands is one of the most popular things in Hurghada. Beautiful stretches of white sand beaches on these islands allow you to relax and soak up the sun. Also, there are many great places to snorkel in the water around these islands.

It is the one closest to Hurghada, and it has a lot of beaches with restaurants, cafes, and sunshades where you can relax while swimming.

The beautiful white sands of these islands, which are known to reflect the sun’s rays, and the clear turquoise water around them are the main reasons why people come to the area to dive, relax, and sunbathe on the beach. 2- Diving in Gota Abu Ramada

An amazing marine wonder is just an hour’s boat ride south of Hurghada. It is an oval-shaped reef that is full of colorful fish and coral. If you want to try this water sport for the first time, this area with its shallow depth is a great place to do some practice dives. You can also choose to go on shipwreck dives, which are more difficult and take place at deeper depths.

3- Hurghada Aquarium

The Hurghada Aquarium is an excellent place for kids and adults of all ages to have a great time. It has one of the best displays of marine life from the Red Sea and is a great place to spend some time learning about these fascinating animals. Building this aquarium meant getting people to care for the environment so that marine life could live. Since it opened in 2015, more than 1,200 animals from over 100 different species have chosen to live there. In the shark tunnel of this amazing aquarium, visitors can feel what it’s like to be deep in the ocean while also getting up close to sharks.

4- Abu Nuhas Shipwrecks

On the northern part of Shadwan Island, about 65 kilometers southeast of Hurghada. It is a popular place for scuba divers because there are so many shipwrecks in the area that have been kept in good shape. You might find an octopus hiding among the wrecks of these ships. If you do, you’ll be able to get close enough to explore some of the rooms and tunnels it has on different levels. The Carnatic, a British freight ship that sank in 1869 and is now home to beautiful corals and fish that swim around, and the Chrisoula K, a Greek ship that sank in 1981, are both shipwrecks that can be found in these mysterious seas. There are more shipwrecks in these waters, but these are just two.

5- Sindbad Submarine

If you’ve ever wanted to go for a walk underwater without getting wet or if you’ve always wanted to ride in a submarine, the Sindbad Submarine is a fun thing to do if you meet the requirements. Those who love food should go to Egypt should do because it’s the only way to eat the natural, home-cooked meals that are hard to find on restaurant menus.

9- Snorkel in Mahmya Island

The “Snorkeling Mahmya Island in Hurghada” tour goes to both Hurghada and Mahmya Island, Egypt. The main beach on Giftun Island is in Giftun Island National Park, on the island’s southern coast. It can be reached from Hurghada.

Large ships must stop outside the harbor to protect the coral reef and the animals that live there so that a smaller boat will take you to shore. Snorkeling in the lagoon’s clear waters, relaxing on the soft sands of the beach, and playing volleyball with other guests are all things that can be done. 10- Luxor from Hurghada Excursion
